Delicious January 3, 2009 Andrew Mogendorff (Minneapolis, MN United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
These are totally delicious, and also one of the few breakfast cereals without high fructose corn syrup (even All Bran has that). They are a bit sugary but not too sweet. Certainly filling and just what I like for breakfast, and so do my kids.
I'm not sure why Amazon isn't doing this on subscribe and save (at least when I'm writing this), but seeing as almost every grocery store I know of runs out of these on a fairly regular basis, probably worth getting from Amazon.
Best cereal but bad price February 25, 2010 Kevin (Maryland) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is my favorite cereal. Its healthy and it tastes great!
However the price that amazon offers is not a good deal. In your local supermarket, a 16 ounce box cost 3.69 at retail price. Hence, for a pack of 6 it should cost 22.14.
Amazon charges over 25 dollars for this and even with the subscription, it is a very small discount.
My favorite cereal since I was a kid November 12, 2009 Elle (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I grew up eating Quaker Oatmeal Squares, and they're still my favorite cereal and a great source of fiber - I tried Fiber One for a while, but the aspartame in it gave me headaches and Fiber One leaves an awful aftertaste. Quaker's doesn't have aspartame, and there's tasty brown sugar which gives it just the right amount of sweetness (the cinnamon sugar one is really good too!)
What I love about Quaker Oatmeal Squares is that they're perfectly delicious with or without milk. They're super crunchy without, and after soaking in milk for a while they absorb the liquid and become like cereal-milk gushers. I personally like that, but for those who don't, you can always just eat the cereal immediately after adding milk.
So good! April 18, 2010 R.B. (mom of two girls) This is one of my alltime favorite cereals, my 3 yo likes it too, she calls it "mommy's cereal". It is also great in party mix. This cereal is approved for WIC, which is nice because it can be kind of expensive. When I was pregnant with my second daughter, I had an aversion to this cereal, and couldn't stand to eat it, but luckily after I had my daughter my taste buds went back to normal and I eat this cereal all the time....in fact, I'm going to go eat some now. :)
Quaker Oatmeal Squares April 14, 2010 suzanne flanderka (san diego, CA) This is a great cereal. What more could you ask than something that tastes good and is good for you. Take a good look at the nutritional panel. On a very reliable site that evaluates food by grade (can't remember the site)they gave it an "A". This is the highest rating and is usually reserved for fruits and vegetables. The thing I like about this cereal is that it's great in milk and stays very crunchy for a long time. But the best thing is that they make a fantastic dry snack. You can have a cup, for a reasonable amount of calories, munch on them, and be satisfied. I put some in a ziplock and snack on them all day. I have given boxes to my friends and they and their kids love them too.
